What to Expect at St. Mark
You can expect a warm welcome by our congregation. St. Mark offers a variety of worship times and worship styles from traditional services at our Bypass Campus to the contemporary, more casual Sunday Morning Blend held at our Rivers Street Campus, or the blended worship service at The Connection in the Coronaca community. Regardless of the service you attend, you will find the St. Mark community is diverse and inclusive with people of all ages and backgrounds.
The Traditional service follows the traditional order of worship in the United Methodist Church. The music is from the Methodist hymnal usually accompanied by organ or piano and our chancel choir. Our pastor will deliver thoughtful and relevant sermon and lead a prayer and blessing at the end of the service. Communion is served the first Sunday of every month in both traditional services and is open to all. Dress at the traditional worship services ranges from suits and ties to polo shirts and khakis. The Bypass Campus houses the sanctuary, church office, church staff offices, educational wing and Kids' World Child Development Center.
The Contemporary service starts with everyone on their feet joining our band in an energetic and uplifting set of praise and worship songs. It blends contemporary styles of music with traditional teaching. Communion in this service is the first Sunday at the end of the service and is open to all. The contemporary worship tends to be more casual, but there's always a range from ties to jeans to shorts. At the Rivers Street Campus you will find the worship center, the multipurpose room, and The Attic which is used for youth activities. Vacation Bible School is also held here each summer.
The Connection blended service has the congregation joining the live musicians in worship songs. There is some traditional teaching. Communion is the first Sunday of the month and is open to all. Atmosphere is casual with coffee and goodies being served in the Fellowship Hall--so feel free to be comfortable. This is where faith meets real life!
