We are KREW - Kids Really Excited about Worship! KREW is a high-energy,
contemporary worship and instruction time for our children ages three through 5th grade. The youth and adults of the church serve as our leaders.
We use a 252 Basics curriculum - a virtue based, scripturally centered curriculum. The 3- and 4-year olds experience a live puppet show and song
and dance time each week, while the older children are engaged through high-energy, interactive worship that includes skits, songs, praise, and
the Good Book Look. Round all this out with games, crafts, story time, supper, and theme nights, and you've got KREW! KREW meets Sunday nights,
Labor Day through Palm Sunday.
KREWkateers
Our curriculum for our three-year-olds through kindergarten will be First Look. First Look engages the five senses and helps children master the concept of Jesus through creative activities. First Look helps a child to understand three key truths: 1. God Made Me; 2. God Loves Me; 3. Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever. Our children in this age group are called KREWKATEERS. In addition to their First Look curriculum, these children experience a live puppet show each week to show how their Bible story applies to the lives of their puppet friends. They also have a time for singing, dancing, and praising! Our KREWKATEERS eat first, at 6:00, so parents should make sure they are on time!
KREW Kids
Our curriculum will continue to be from 252 Basics for our 1st-5th graders. You can read more about the curriculum at
www.252basics.org. This is character-based curriculum designed to teach children three basic truths:
I can trust God no matter what; I need to make the wise choice; and I should treat others the way I want to be treated. These three truths are
based on Luke 2:52, "…and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man." This session, we will concentrate on wisdom,
individuality, and cooperation. 1st -4th grade will begin and end each night with a time of high-energy worship called Alpha and Omega led by
our 5th grade KREW Crew. There will be songs, skits, and lessons, all presented in an engaging, upbeat manner. They will also have meal and
small group time.

KREW Parent Information
This year, we are VERY excited about meeting in our new building at Rivers St.! Each KREW Night, please drop off your KREWKATEER (K3-K5)
in the multi-purpose room. Your KREW KID (1st-5th grade) should be dropped off in the worship center.
Dismissal will be handled as follows: Your K3, K4, or K5 child should be picked up in his or her classroom. We ask that parents please park in
the main parking area and come in to get their children. Parents should enter through the double doors that face the main parking area.
We will have someone to direct you to the classrooms. KREWKATEERS will NOT be released to older siblings, unless the sibling is 6th grade or
older. Our 1st graders and up will be dismissed in a "car line" similar to schools. Parents should drive through the front, small parking lot (
facing Rivers Street) to the covered pick-up area. We will send your child out to you and you can exit to Rivers Street through the main
parking lot. We will begin this at 7:30 promptly. If you need to get your child early, you will need to come inside to get your child. When you
come to get your KREWKATER, you may also pick up your KREW Kid. Just come to the worship center doors. Please be patient with us during
dismissal. This is totally for the safety of all the KREW children.
