United Methodist Men exists to declare the centrality of Christ in every man's life.
The men's ministry of St. Mark seeks to engage all men in evangelism, mission, and spiritual life-the EMS of United Methodist Men.
Our desire is to lead men in spiritual growth and effective discipleship. Toward meeting these goals we offer many opportunities for study,
prayer, fellowship, and service.

UMM dinners and program, second Thursday of the month
Each month, with the exception of July and August, the men of the church share in a meal together and in a spiritually uplifting program. We enjoy fellowship in an informal setting and we hear inspirational talks from invited speakers. We meet in the Social Hall at 6:30 p.m.
Community Men's Prayer Breakfast, last Friday of each month
At 6:30 a.m. in the Social Hall on the last Friday of each month, we enjoy a wonderful home-cooked breakfast for only $3.00. Join us for lively fellowship, prayers for our community concerns, exciting messages, and often up-lifting music. All men of the Greenwood community are invited!
Men's Morning Prayer Groups
On Wednesdays at 6:30 a.m. a group meets in the church library/conference room to focus on topics of special concern to men in their spiritual journey. Wilson Bruce is the leader. All men are welcome!
Special projects and sports
Throughout the year the men volunteer for service through assisting persons in need. We have become especially adept at ramp-building and limited home repair. As the sports seasons progress many of the men are involved in our softball, basketball, and volleyball teams.
Fund raisers
Each year the UMM raises funds for ministry through our annual Vidalia onion sale, usually in May, and our annual yard sale.
Annual Men's Retreat
Jesus withdrew from the world of work to renew his relationship with the Father. All men need to do the same. Each year our Men's Ministry sponsors a weekend retreat for a time of renewal and fun. There is always fishing, golf, horseshoes, hiking, and just relaxation during the weekend surrounded by growing together through worship and study.
An Invitation to All Men
Find your place in the UMM and join with your brothers in growing in evangelism, mission, and spirituality.
May Fishing Outing
The UMM are planning a fising outing in May for youth in grades 6-12. To help us plan, we are requesting
all interested adults and youth to sign up on one of the sign-up sheets. The sign-up sheet on the main campus
is on the UMM bulletin board and a sign-up sheet is available on the coffee bar in the welcome center at
Rivers St. (NOTE: Everyone over the age of 13 will need a SC fishing license.)
