The Team Ministry Gifts Inventory is a resource to help individual church members discover their special gift(s) for ministry in the local church. This online resource, provided by the work area for Growth, takes about 5 minutes to complete the 108 questions and will give you an analysis of your spiritual gifts immediately after you finish the inventory. You must enter your name, birthdate, and email address, and you will be given the opportunity to receive additional information from The Church Growth Institute.

According to the Church Growth Institute web site, "The following 108 questions or statements deal with your feelings and desires, so be sure to let your responses reflect your own opinions of yourself. As you read each question or statement, click the button in front of the most accurate answer: Almost Always (if the statement fits you 70% to 100% of the time), Occasionally (if the statement fits you 40% to 70% of the time), or Not Very Often (if the statement fits you less than 40% of the time). Remember, this is a self-evaluation; there are no "right" or "wrong" answers."

It's time to celebrate! We have now passed the 100 mark as more members are going on-line to assess their God-given Spiritual Gift mix. We even have a substantial group who have taken the paper inventory, not letting technology challenges stand in the way.

One of the features you noticed at the end of your survey was how you compared to ALL persons who have taken the inventory, regardless of their church affiliation. But are you curious how you compare to your own members of the St. Mark Body?

Glad you asked! Our largest group at 39 members is all about showing mercy, with that gift also showing up as a secondary in another 14, as well as 8 more members who have showing mercy coming in third! Wow, what does that say about who we are? Are you asking God to show you what your part in a Mercy Ministry might look like? Is God prompting you to investigate starting a new ministry at St. Mark for the merciful? Your team could make a powerful difference with 61 potential members! Remember to counsel with our pastors about this as you seek to find your place at St. Mark.

Along with showing mercy, we have 15 primary administrators, 12 secondary administrators and 13 listing that third in their mix. Next come the pastor/ shepherds at 18, 20 and 19 respectively. Ten are teachers first along with 6 who can teach secondary and 11 with this gift in at third. Six show exhortation as their strength with 25 more walking that way second and another 19 showing up third. Three are givers along with 12 and 15 more in support giving and one evangelist, though there are 4 in a secondary position and 7 with evangelism as their third strength. That opens many possibilities for us to share the good news of Jesus Christ in a variety of ways!

So, let's celebrate! Also, as you are able share this information with others and ask them if they have taken their spiritual gift inventory. Encourage them to do so as soon as possible so that we can continue to build up the body of St. Mark.
